As a metalworker I enjoy making objects that make everyday tasks like cooking more fun. It is important for me to minimise the carbon footprint and resource consumption. Therefore I use local materials and avoid burning fossil fuels in the forging process. Instead I use an induction heater to heat the steel to forging temperature whenever possible and an electric kiln for the heat treatment.
